Matthew Brabham produced the finest drive of his short career here today at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, by finishing 3rd after having to start in 30th and last position. Unfortunately for the third generation driver his record breaking pole position was negated by an oversight of his team to record the correct numbers of his tyre allocation for the event.

Matthew Brabham is coming off the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship powered by Mazda summer break, and is raring to go when racing resumes this week-end at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Apart from a successful shake down test a few weeks ago at the Sebring IndyCar track, the third generation driver spent some time in both Indianapolis and Florida during the break, training for the second half of the season.

Matthew Brabham again demonstrated his good form by topping the 21 car field at the latest two day official Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda test, held at the legendary 4.048 mile Road America circuit situated in the rolling hills of Wisconsin.
Despite struggling at times with a couple of annoying mechanical issues, Matthew quickly learned the challenging track and finished well under the official lap record 2:10.66 with a time of 2:09.90

Matthew Brabham scored a thrilling second place in Round 5 of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda held at the 0.68 mile Lucas Oil Raceway. The race was part of the traditional Saturday "Night before the 500" program.

Matthew Brabham continued his impressive form with a hard fought pair of second place finishes at rounds 3 and 4 of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda held at the Allied Products St. Petersburg Grand Prix.
Despite not having seen the St. Petersburg street circuit before, Matthew was quickly up to speed and missed the pole in qualifying by just 0.002 seconds to his team-mate Spencer Pigot.

Matthew Brabham finished the six race Cooper Tires Winterfest Championship with a win, two fastest laps, three 2nds and a 4th, but a mechanical issue in race 5 pushed the third generation driver down to third in the final points tally.
After the ultra competitive showing at the first three races at Sebring, Matthew initially struggled to find the sweet spot with his setup at the low grip Palm Beach International Raceway.

Matthew Brabham scored his first win on American soil with a commanding drive in round 3 of the USF2000 Cooper Tires Winterfest Championship held at the famed Sebring International Raceway.
After qualifying second Matthew unfortunately suffered an electrical problem in race one with two laps to go while challenging for the lead, and just held on to second place as his car came to a stop two corners after the chequered flag.

Matthew Brabham made a lightning trip to Sebring Fl last week, for a two day test with his new team Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing.
This was the first time that all three team drivers were on the track together, plus drivers from rival teams Belardi Auto Racing and Pabst Racing. The first day ended with Matthew fastest, although the times were very close between the Cape Motorsport with Wayne Taylor Racing drivers.
